FAQ
Why do brands emphasize "grass-fed and finished"?
Cows raised exclusively on pastures produce tallow with significantly higher concentrations of vitamins and anti-inflammatory CLA compared to grain-fed alternatives. Grass-fed options are also less likely to carry trace residues of synthetic hormones or pesticides.
Are all the ingredients organic?
Yes!
Why is tallow good for the skin?
- High biocompatibility: Its molecular lipid structure closely matches human sebum.
- Nutrient density: It is naturally packed with fat-soluble vitamins (A, D, E, and K).
- Fatty acids: It contains conjugated linoleic acid (CLA), palmitoleic acid, and stearic acid, which protect and repair the skin barrier.
Should I apply it to dry or damp skin?
Always apply tallow to slightly damp skin (such as right after a shower.) Tallow acts as an occlusive barrier; it seals in existing moisture rather than creating it.
How much should I apply?
A pea sized amount is usually enough for your entire face. Because pure tallow formulas do not contain the heavy water fillers found in commercial lotions, a very small dab goes a long way.
Where should I keep my tallow stored?
It is best to keep tallow stored in a cool dry place.
Will it make me smell like beef?
No, high-quality rendered tallow is virtually odorless. Any faint, earthy scent typically dissipates within minutes of application. Our brand is naturally scented with organic vanilla essential oils.
